How Lumea Living began
Sometimes the most meaningful chapters begin when one door closes and another opens.
In late 2025, after more than six years working as successful NEAT Method franchise owners in Vancouver and Toronto, co-founders Sarah Gerber and Jen Rowe found themselves at a natural crossroads. Over the years, their work had brought them together on several projects, where they discovered a shared philosophy around service, design, and the belief that home organization should create lasting ease in everyday life.
As NEAT made the thoughtful decision to refocus its operations and conclude Canadian franchising, it created space for Sarah and Jen to imagine what building something of their own could look like. They knew they wanted to create a service rooted in clarity, beauty, and genuine care — one that honoured both the practical and emotional sides of the home.
Clients had often told them the same thing after a project was complete: “My space feels so much lighter.”
That word stayed with them. Lightness — in homes, in schedules, and in the way people move through their lives.
The name Lumea, inspired by the Latin lumen, felt inevitable. It captured everything they hoped to create: spaces that breathe, systems that support, and homes that feel effortlessly refined.
And so, Lumea Living was born not simply as a business, but as a commitment to transforming how people experience their homes, especially during the moments and transitions that matter most.
