about lumea living

A home that works is not a luxury. It is the thing that makes everything else possible.

Organized spice jars home organization by Lumea Livin

Our approach to intentional living

Organization is about structure that holds. Systems that make sense for how a space is used, how a family moves through it, and how life changes around it. The work is precise and considered, and when it is done well, it disappears into the background of daily life.

Every project begins with listening. We take the time to understand your routines, your priorities, and the particular demands of the season you are in. From there, we design around what is real, not a generic idea of what an organized home should look like, but the specific way yours needs to function.

How it all started

Every home has a story. So does Lumea Living.

Lumea Living was co-founded by Sarah Gerber in Vancouver and Jen Rowe in Toronto, bringing together experience from two of Canada’s most demanding urban markets. Before launching Lumea, both Sarah and Jen built and led home organization businesses as franchisees of NEAT Method, working closely with families and professionals navigating busy lives and major transitions.

Through that work, a shared understanding became clear: clients were not looking for tidy spaces. They were looking for relief from the friction that builds when a home stops keeping pace with life. They wanted systems that would last, and a level of care that was both professional and deeply human.

Lumea Living was built to deliver that. Today we are the professional home organizer both cities turn to for precision, discretion, and results that hold. What began as parallel practices in Vancouver and Toronto has become a unified brand, known for precision, discretion, and results that hold.

Lumea Living operates across two markets through a structure built for precision and consistency. Sarah leads Vancouver, Jen leads the Toronto team, and both operate under a shared methodology that produces the same caliber of result in either city. Between the two founders, Lumea brings 14 years of combined hands-on experience working inside some of Canada’s most demanding and design-forward homes. That depth is not incidental. It is the reason the systems we build hold.

Frequently asked questions

What does a professional home organizer actually do?

We design and implement organizing systems that make your home easier to live in. That includes assessing the space, editing what is there, sourcing every product required, and leaving with everything in place and functioning. The scope depends on the project, a single room or an entire home, a move-in setup or a whole-home overhaul.

Do I need to declutter before you arrive?

No. Most clients prefer to work through that process alongside us. Decisions made with a professional home organizer tend to be faster, clearer, and easier to commit to than ones made alone.

What happens during an in-home consultation?

We spend time walking through your home together. The goal is to understand how each space is currently being used, where the friction points are, and what you want the home to support going forward. We look at storage capacity, traffic patterns, and the specific demands of your household, whether that means two working parents, young children, a home office, or all three. From that conversation, we build a project proposal tailored to your space and your goals.

How long does a typical organizing project take?

It depends on the size of the space and the scope of the work. A single room may take one session. A whole-home project is typically completed across multiple visits. We discuss timing in detail during the in-home consultation so you have a clear picture before the project begins.

Will my home still feel like mine after it’s organized?

Yes. The systems we design are built around how you live, not a standard template imposed on your space. The home should feel more like yours when we leave, not less.

What happens to the items we remove?

We help sort items into clear categories, donate, recycle, sell, or discard, and can coordinate removal so they leave your home responsibly.

Is professional home organizing worth the investment?

A well-organized home stops requiring effort to maintain and starts giving back. Clients who work with Lumea typically describe the same thing: they stop thinking about the home. It runs. That is what the investment buys.

Is professional home organizing worth the investment?

Lumea Living was founded by two professional home organizers with 14 years of combined experience working inside homes across Vancouver and Toronto. Before launching Lumea, both founders built and led their own home organization businesses as franchisees of NEAT Method, one of North America’s most recognized names in professional organizing. That background gave them direct exposure to hundreds of projects across a wide range of home types, life stages, and organizational challenges. The organizers who work alongside them are trained to the same standard and held to the same expectations on every project.
