What our first episode of Life is Messy reminded us about home
As seen on Life is Messy, Thursdays at 9pm ET on Home Network and streaming on STACKTV.
There’s something both humbling and deeply affirming about bringing your work into someone’s home, truly into it, while cameras are rolling.
When the Lumea Living team joined the production of Life is Messy for the first of two episodes, we didn’t just show up to organize a space. We showed up to do what we always do: listen first, then bring clarity, lightness, and ease to a home that needed it. It’s the same standard we bring to every client — whether they’re looking for home organization services in Toronto, Vancouver, or anywhere in between.
And honestly? The experience reminded us of exactly why we do this work.

A home is never just a home
Every space we walk into tells a story. There are the items stacked by the door that never quite made it to where they belong. The drawer that no one opens anymore because opening it means dealing with it. The room that was supposed to be one thing but slowly became something else entirely.
These aren’t signs of failure. They’re signs of a full life that simply hasn’t had the support it deserves yet.
That’s what we saw on set. And that’s what we always see.
We believe your surroundings shape your life. When your home finally serves you, when the systems work with how you actually live, everything feels lighter. The mornings flow easier. The evenings feel calmer. The mental load gets quieter.
That shift? That’s what Lumea is built for.
What we brought to the project
Our role on Life is Messy centred on something we know intimately: transforming a home through bespoke organizing systems designed around real life rather than an idealized version of it.
We began, as we always do, by listening. Understanding not just the physical space, but the rhythm of the people living in it. What works for them. What doesn’t. What they wish felt different the moment they walked through the door.
From there, we designed and implemented systems that are intuitive, elevated, and, most importantly, built to last. Not a quick tidy. A real transformation.
That’s the Lumea difference: white-glove care, meticulous execution, and a process designed to remove overwhelm rather than add to it.
Why moments like this matter to us
Being part of a production like Life is Messy is a meaningful opportunity, and not because of the cameras. Because of the families on the other side of them.
Every home we touch is a privilege. Every client who trusts us with their space and their story is someone we take seriously. And when that work gets to reach a wider audience, we hope it does what we always hope our work does: makes someone feel seen, and reminds them that a lighter, more intentional home is possible for them too.
If you’ve been looking for home organization services in Toronto or Vancouver and aren’t sure where to start, know that you don’t have to figure it out alone. That’s what we’re here for.
