Kelowna kitchen organization: Helping the Price family settle in
See how thoughtful kitchen and pantry organization supported daily routines for a busy family in their new Kelowna home.
The Price family had just moved into their newly built Kelowna home, excited to settle into a space designed for the next chapter of family life. While the kitchen was beautifully finished, it wasn’t yet set up to support the rhythms of daily living—from cooking and meal prep to snacks, groceries, and cleanup.
Led by Co-Founder Sarah Gerber, Lumea Living (formerly NEAT Method) partnered with the family to create a kitchen and pantry system tailored to how they actually live. This Kelowna kitchen organization project focused on practical, intuitive solutions that would reduce friction and help the family feel at home from day one.

Planning a kitchen that supports daily life
Because the space was brand new, the family was still discovering how they would use each area of the kitchen. Our team began by observing daily habits—how meals were prepared, where groceries naturally landed, and which items needed to be most accessible.
From there, we created intentional zones that aligned with these routines, ensuring the kitchen felt intuitive and easy to maintain. This approach reflects our process, which starts with understanding real-life patterns before designing systems that support them.

Creating flow with functional storage
One of the key challenges was maximizing drawer and pantry space without creating visual clutter. The solution focused on clear categories, logical placement, and storage that made sense for the entire family.
Adjustable drawer dividers created defined zones for utensils and everyday tools, while labeled pantry containers ensured ingredients were easy to find and put away. These are the same principles we apply across our professional home organization services, where systems are designed to support consistency—not perfection.

Small changes, lasting impact
Sometimes the most effective solutions are also the simplest. For the Price family, drawer dividers transformed once-overwhelming drawers into calm, functional spaces that stayed organized with minimal effort.
These small but strategic changes reduced decision fatigue and made everyday tasks—like preparing meals or packing lunches—feel lighter and more efficient.

Standout products and systems
The pantry features acacia-lidded glass jars that balance beauty and function while keeping dry goods visible and fresh. Adjustable dividers, pull-out trays, and labeled baskets work together to create a system that can adapt as the family’s needs change.
Each product was selected to support longevity, ease of use, and visual calm—key elements of a kitchen designed to work well over time.

A kitchen designed for everyday ease
With a kitchen and pantry organized around their routines, the Price family now enjoys a space that works as hard as they do. Meal prep is faster, snacks are accessible for kids, and cleanup feels effortless.
